Root canal treatment in Jataí
Endodontics. Root canal treatment cares for the inside of the tooth and, often, helps avoid losing it.
At the initial evaluation, Dr. Brenda evaluates your mouth, you receive a written treatment quote and you decide calmly.

What it is
Root canal treatment (endodontics) cares for the inside of the tooth, where the nerves and blood vessels are, when it becomes inflamed or infected. The dentist cleans and disinfects the canal and seals it, and the tooth is restored afterward.
In many cases, it is what makes it possible to keep the tooth in the mouth instead of removing it.
Who it is for
- People with strong pain when chewing, or pain that appears on its own, especially at night.
- People who feel pain from heat or cold that takes a long time to fade.
- People who have noticed a tooth darkening.
- People with swelling or a small bump on the gum near a tooth.
- People with a very deep cavity.
How it is done
- Evaluation with an exam and X-ray, to understand what is happening inside the tooth.
- Local anesthesia.
- Cleaning and disinfection of the canal, followed by sealing.
- Final restoration of the tooth, in some cases with a crown to protect it.
What to expect
It may take more than one visit, depending on the case.
With anesthesia, the aim is to relieve the pain you already feel, not to cause new pain. If you feel anxious, tell us before we start.
Aftercare
- Take any medication that has been prescribed.
- Avoid chewing hard foods on the treated side until the final restoration.
- Return to have the tooth restored: the treatment is only complete at that stage.
